After a day of photographing and sketching a wrecked metal boat on the rocks near Daymer Bay, North Cornwall, I considered ideas about being ‘run aground’ and 'stranded'. I thought about what it means to be wrecked, and how ships and boats fracture at the point of impact when they hit rocks. I also explored the loneliness and emptiness around being abandoned or derelict.
